Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and creative developer to redesign the admin interface of our custom WordPress-based software, designed to manage a shed company and metal building construction business. Our goal is to create a modern, flexible, and user-friendly GUI for the admin dashboard that maximizes data presentation for diverse user types and aligns with our operational needs. For this initial phase, we need freelancers to submit 3-4 unique design proposals for a baseline admin theme/template. These proposals should enhance our current view (provided as screenshots and specific code details) with innovative concepts tailored to our industry.
The winning design will be selected based on creativity, usability, and how well it supports our team’s workflow. The chosen freelancer will then transition into a long-term piecework project (3-6 months) to fully develop and refine the GUI, collaborating with us to optimize it for production.
What We’re Looking For in Your Bid:
3-4 distinct design proposals for the WordPress admin GUI theme/template.
Each proposal should include:
HTML markup reflecting the structure of our provided admin view (screenshots and code snippets for specific pages).
A modern, responsive CSS design with a toggle for light and dark modes.
A flexible layout that maximizes data display (e.g., customizable views like tables, grids, or lists inspired by ClickUp), tailored to managing shed and metal building data (e.g., orders, materials, schedules).
A brief explanation of your concept and how it improves usability for multiple admin levels and user types.
Links to up-to-date websites or admin dashboards you’ve designed or draw inspiration from (e.g., ClickUp-style interfaces).
Your proposed timeline and bid for delivering the initial 3-4 design concepts.
Skills Required:
PHP: Strong experience with WordPress theme development and admin-side customization.
HTML: Ability to create structured, semantic markup based on provided screenshots and code.
CSS: Expertise in designing modern, responsive interfaces with light/dark mode toggles.
Bonus (not required): Experience with SQL integration in WordPress, adapting existing queries, or building customizable data views.
Project Details:
We will provide screenshots, specific page details, and code snippets for the current admin view as a starting point.
The GUI should prioritize flexibility in presenting data (e.g., construction orders, inventory, timelines) with customizable views, similar to ClickUp, to suit multiple admin levels and user types already defined in our system.
You’ll work with existing PHP and SQL query code, which should be fully utilized, though additional code may be needed for future enhancements.
This is a piecework bid for the initial design phase. The selected freelancer will move into a 3-6 month development project immediately after selection.
Focus is on the admin side of our WordPress software, not the front-end.
