Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) processes for transmission and substation projects.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to design specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
- Review and approve material and equipment specifications to ensure quality standards are met. Investigate non-conformance issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related concerns.
- Maintain and update QA documentation, reports, and records for project compliance.
- Conduct training sessions on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or related field).
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) within transmission and substation construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and other relevant industry standards.
- Experience with QA/QC documentation, inspections, and audits.
- Familiarity with power transmission systems, substations, and high-voltage equipment.
- Proficiency in QA software and reporting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in ISO 9001 Quality Management System or related quality assurance standards.
- Experience with contractor/vendor quality assessments.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
