Police reporter from New York Maj. Eugene Staniszewski said. “ Salman Rushdie was taken by helicopter to the local hospital. He had got surgery on his neck and his condition is unknown till now. Also an interviewer Mr. Henry Reese was taken to a local hospital where he got treatment over there. Moreover, his condition is doing well, and released out”
