Higher Education students’ loans board- Bodi ya mikopo Tanzania Is an institute or organization that sponsors students to their higher education level. Scholarship, HELB loans and Bursaries given for training at public institutes which are recognized by the ministry of Education of Tanzania.
Only Tanzanian Citizens are allowed to do applications for higher Education.

This guidelines provide general Eligibility as pronounced by the Act which an Applicants must meet as follows:-
- Must be Tanzanian
- Must have applied for a loan through OLAMS
- Must not have funding from other source to finance his\her education
- For undergraduate applicants, must not have a formal or regular income from employment, either public or private sector.
Applicants Requirements
Applicants required to have :-
1. Form four index number (Form for leaving certificate).
2.Form six Results slip.@form six NECTA results 2022.
3. Birth certificates.
4.Death certificates. unless your parents ( Mother or Father or both) died.
After completing Online loan application process, Applicants required to print out the application forms and loan agreements. Observe appropriate authentications, sign the form, attach necessary documents and upload into Online Loan application and Management System (OLAMS).
NOTE:
All Applicants are required to keep full set of loan application, attachments submitted and EMS receipts used for mailing their applications to HESLB for reference and ease to rack when necessary before submitting the same through EMS to:- The Executive Director, Higher Education Students’ Loan Board, Mandela Road, P.O.Box 76068, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
How HESLB publish successful loan application:
All successful loan applicants with their allocations are published through SIPA (Student’s Individual permanent Account. After the approval of each batch applicants required to visit
HESLB website. www.heslb.go.tz. The application of these loans are done Online Loan Application and Management System.
